Operating principle
CLEARANCE CRYSTAL LEVEL METER
In this type of level indicator, the liquid is kept between two smooth glasses. The level can be identified because the fluid has a different level of transparency than gases and vapor. The transparent level indicator is recommended especially for applications where it is necessary to protect the glass from corrosive fluids and high temperatures. A lamp can also be installed behind the indicator to improve visibility in special operating conditions.
The product line includes level gauges suitable for pressure ratings from PN10 to PN250 and a host of industrial process applications.
Features
CLEARANCE CRYSTAL LEVEL METER
It is recommended for:
- For use with corrosive fluids (glass shield required)
- For steam with aoperating pressure > 20 bar (a protective screen for the glass is required)
- If repeated thermal shocks are likely to occur (a protective screen for the glass is required)
- To check the interface (level of separation between two immiscible fluids)
- To check thecolor of a fluid
- For dirty and oily fluids
Operating limits/conditions:

- Max. Temperature: 300°C (maximum temperature allowed by borosilicate glass according to DIN 7081)
Steam:
- Max. pressure: 70 bars
- Max. temperature: 280°C
