Principle of operation
PLASTIC TUBE FLOW METER – TECFLUID PS
Flow meters PS series operate according to the variable area principle, obtained by a float that moves inside a conical tube of technical plastic materials. The circulating flow moves the float, up to a height inside the conical tube, where the forces are balanced: – E = fluid thrust – Pf = float weight – Al = free passage area (Al = Ac, area of the tube – Af, float area). Each height or position of the float corresponds to a value of the circulating flow.

- Polysulfone Tube (PSU) or NAS. Parts in contact with fluid in steel, AISI316L, PP, PVC
- Floats in AISI316L, aluminum, PTFE, PVDF-Pb, PVC-Pb, PTFE-Pb
Connection types:
Flange, thread, smooth PVC for gluing and AISI 316 and PP for welding
Sizes and flows:
- From 1/2 “to 3”
- From 4 l / h to 50 m3 / h H2O 20ºC
Maximum temperature:
- 60ºC for model with Polysulfone tube and PVC links
- 110ºC for model with Polysulfone tube and zero AISI 316L links and VITON gaskets
Maximum pressure:
Depending on the size of the meter, 15 to 8 bar
