Description
AUTOMATIC PURGE OF CONCENTRATED SALTS IN THE BOILER – VYC 260
Boiler water containssalts, whose concentration increases due to continuous evaporation. If these salts are not removed, when the density of the water in the boiler increases, bubbles and foam are formed.
To prevent the formation of calcareous scale, adequate treatment of the feed water is necessary, consequently certain salts are altered, producing impurities that settle in the form of sludge and scale, adhering to the walls or bottom of the boiler and to the combustion tubes, together with dirt particles, remains of electrodes, carbonic acid, oxygen, etc.
This causes a high rate of corrosion that can:
- Destroy the boiler plate, causing high maintenance costs.
- Produce thermal stresses, causing cracks in the sheet metal and weld seams.
- Noticeably hinder thermal transmission, which means unnecessary and excessive fuel consumption.
Nominal pressure: PN-40.
Flanged connection: DN-20, 25, 32, 40 and 50 (EN-1092-1)
Technical characteristics
AUTOMATIC PURGE OF CONCENTRATED SALTS IN THE BOILER – VYC 260
- Pressing the pedal down, a quick and total opening of the drainage section is achieved. The sediments, deposited at the bottom of the boiler, are removed and absorbed by the sudden suction and dragged to the outside.
- Instant closing, avoiding irremediable losses of water and pressure.
- Treated and ground sealing seat and shaft, thus achieving a degree of tightness, even higher than that required by EN 12266-1.
- Self-tensioning shaft seal and free of any maintenance.
- As a solution to space problems, the pedal can be positioned vertically or horizontally.
Model DN-20 and 25. (Pedal operated).
- Placing the locking lever in the direction of discharge direction locks the opening.
- With the locking lever in the opposite direction to the flow direction, the valve is in the manually operated position.
- By activating the valve manually and with a locking pin it can be fixed in the continuous discharge position, applicable for emptying the boiler.
Model DN-32, 40 and 50. (Actuated by pedal and handwheel).
- Turning the handwheel in direction (C) to the end of travel, the valve is locked in the closed position.
- Activating the handwheel between the closed position (C) and the central stop (”Click”), an unloading position is achieved, by the pedal, proportional to the passage section that we set.
- Turning the handwheel in direction (A), the valve remains open, progressively increasing the passage section.
- At the end of the path in direction (A), the maximum opening is achieved, which facilitates the emptying of the boiler.
