Principle of operation
OSCILLATING PISTON FLOW METER – TECFLUID COVOL
& nbsp;
By rotating piston and annular measuring chamber.
The entry of fluid causes the measurement chamber to be filled and exerts a force on the rotating piston, initiating its rotation.
The liquid inlet gradually fills the measuring chamber of the inlet as it begins to empty camera output . In the middle of the cycle, the two chambers are the same size. At this point, the outlet chamber has dislodged practically all the liquid corresponding to one cycle, while the inlet chamber is practically filled with the liquid corresponding to the next cycle. At the end of the cycle, the inlet chamber occupies all the space. From this moment on, it can be considered that it is the exit chamber, with which we would be back at the beginning of the cycle.
A constant volume of liquid is transported in each cycle. The piston incorporates a magnet that activates a reed sensor at each complete turn. The signal from this sensor can be processed by an electronic converter.
