Description

TRAP FOR SATURATED OR SUPERHEATED STEAM AT LOW PRESSURE

Bucket trap toremove saturated or superheated steam condensate at low pressure. Applicable in: Steam pipes, heat exchangers, plants with automatic temperature control, chemical and petrochemical industry

Technical characteristics

TRAP FOR SATURATED OR SUPERHEATED STEAM AT LOW PRESSURE

  • It works by the action of an inverted bucket that is displaced by the difference in density between the condensate and the steam. In the presence of condensate, the bowl descends, releasing the seat shutter and allowing the condensate to drain. When steam enters, the bucket rises and blocks the passage, ensuring a line free of condensate. This action is repeated cyclically, automatically removing air and accumulated condensate.
  • Materials carefully selected for their resistance to wear, temperature and corrosion.
  • Constructive simplicity.
  • Long life cycle with high operational efficiency.
  • Maintenance practically nil.
  • Compact, robust. Reduced weight and size, which facilitates storage.
  • Ideal for medium to high condensate discharge capacities.
  • Behaves extraordinarily on intermittent downloads.
  • Discharge at steam temperature, which ensures maximum heat transfer.
  • Precise in opening and closing, avoiding steam losses.
  • Characteristics plate that identifies the service and assembly conditions.
  • Only vertical mounting and following the flow path indicated by the arrow.
  • Silent.
  • They remain unperturbed by vibrations, water hammer, superheated steam, corrosive condensate, frost, etc.
  • It is not affected by back pressures or condensate temperature variations.
  • Treated, ground, lapped and burnished closing surfaces, thus achieving a degree of tightness, even higher than that required by EN 12266-1.
  • All steam traps are rigorously tested and verified.
  • Each one of the components is numbered, registered and controlled. If previously requested, the trap will be accompanied by certifications of materials, castings, tests and performance.
