    Description

CHIP VALVE UP TO 40KG/CM2 WAFER TYPE – HERBE HAPM

The HAPM model is a versatile valve that is mainly used in the paper industry, environmental, chemical industry, food industry, and in the metallurgical, mining, glass and cement industries. This valve can handle fluids with suspended solids and can be unidirectional or bidirectional, with the direction of the fluid indicated on the body. It is important to install the one-way valve so that the greatest pressure is exerted against the gasket. In addition, “HAPM” knife gate valves meet the requirements of European Directive 2014/68/EU for pressure equipment, classified as Group 2 for non-hazardous fluids.

In the M series, the body is sealed by means of an O-ring housed between the two half-bodies. With this system the valve supports pressures of up to 40KG.

    Technical characteristics

VÁLVULA DE BOLA BRIDAS DIN EN ACERO INOXIDABLE
    ATEX Directive
The “HAPM” knife gate valves, with pneumatic and hydraulic actuation, comply with the requirements of the ATEX DIRECTIVE 2014/34/EU on devices and protection systems for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, in accordance with GROUP II, CATEGORY 3, ZONES 2 AND 22
    Body
The body of the M series HAP valve is composed of two halves joined together by screws. The material can be carbon steel with an electrozinc plating treatment that is subsequently coated with epoxy paint in Ral 5017, or 316/316L stainless steel.

    Closing gasket

This piece provides the valve with 100% tightness. The standard gasket is constructed using a metal ring that is vulcanized with different types of elastomers depending on its application.

    • BUTYL
It is the standard sealing gasket. It can be used in multiple applications.
    • NBR
Suitable for fluids containing fats or oils at temperatures not exceeding 100ºC.
    • EPDM
Generally used for water and products diluted in water at temperatures not exceeding 100ºC. It can also be used with abrasive products.
    • VITON
Appropriate for corrosive applications and for high temperatures up to 190ºC. continuously and for peaks up to 220ºC.
    • SILICONE
Mainly used in the food industry and for pharmaceutical products with temperatures not exceeding 250ºC.
    • PTFE
It is not constructed with the inner metal ring. Suitable for corrosive applications and also for the food industry.
    • OTHERS
Upon request, the gasket is supplied with different types of elastomers.
    Locking and packing bushing
The locking bushing allows for securing the packing bushing and the upper closure cover to the top of the body. It can be made of steel with an electrobichromated treatment or in stainless steel 316/316L. It incorporates an O-ring that ensures the tightness of the joint between the locking bushing and the upper closure cover.

On the other hand, the function of the packing bushing is to house all the gaskets, scrapers, and collars necessary to ensure the tightness of the valve along the internal stem (shaft). Additionally, it acts as a guide for the internal stem, ensuring that it remains in place and does not move improperly during the opening and closing operation of the valve. This ensures smooth, efficient, and durable operation. The packing bushing is made of brass.

    Knife gate
The gate is polished on both sides to provide a smooth and homogeneous contact surface with the sealing gasket. There is the possibility of different degrees of polishing as well as anti-abrasion treatments to adapt to the specific requirements of special installations.
    Robust bridge design
U-shaped bridge for greater resistance and made of carbon steel with an electrozinc plating treatment that is subsequently coated with Epoxy paint in Ral 5017. There is the possibility of supplying the bridge completely in stainless steel upon request.
    Body cover gasket
Housed in the body cover, this gasket provides sealing in the upper part of the body in both the M series and the F series.
