Principle of operation
FLOW METER ELECTROMAGNETIC – TECFLUID FLOMID
The operating principle is based on the Faraday’s Law of Induction . A voltage V is induced between a pair of electrodes when a conductive liquid flows through a pipe of diameter D at an average speed vm, through a magnetic field B (perpendicular to the direction of flow). This voltage, proportional to the average speed of the liquid, is acquired by the electronic converter to be processed and converted into a flow measurement. V = B · vm · D V = Voltage between the electrodes vm = Velocity of the liquid B = Power of the magnetic field D = Pipe diameter
