Description
WAFER BUTTERFLY VALVE PTFE SEAT AND DISC – KTN 266ITT
The KTN 266ITT is our butterfly valve with wafer type connection, ptfe seat and stainless steel disc coated with PFA (FDA compliant). The ptfe seat and disc give the valve a high resistance to corrosion. The range is from DN 40 to DN 300, replacing the sleeve by a reducing handwheel from DN 250, suitable for driving almost any medium. Pressure range: PN16. The working temperature range covers -35ºC to +155ºC.
Characteristics
WAFER BUTTERFLY VALVE PTFE SEAT AND DISC – KTN 266ITT
Two-piece wafer structure
Two-piece epoxy coated body, all bodies meet ASME Class 150 and DIN 3840 pressure ratings. Extended neck design on all. Valve sizes allow for 2″ pipe isolation and provide easy access for mounting actuators. Positioning holes in wafer type version. Provides quick and accurate alignment during valve installation by eliminating disc interference with adjacent piping.
Resilient seating design
The inner seat is machined with a curvature from the center to the edge, this unique seat geometry minimizes the contact force between the disc and seat as the disc approaches or opens from the closed position. As a result, the valve allows for lower torques and reduced seat wear. FDA compliant PTFE.
PFA coated disc
The disc is made of stainless steel encapsulated with a thick layer (minimum 3 mm) of pure PTFE/PFA, which increases wear and corrosion resistance against the most acidic fluids. FDA compliant.
Spring packings
Two spring packings (upper and lower) impose an elastic force on the press and compact the O-ring and seat, improving sealing and providing supporting tension for the seat and disc to compensate for the lack of elasticity of the PTFE seat cover. This also effectively prevents media leakage from the valve cavity.
Upper stem packing
An upper rod bushing is retained by a stainless steel ring, is used to absorb side thrusts of the actuator and ensures smooth operation and good interaction between the upper shaft and lower shaft.
Energized seat
An elastic seat energizer extends completely around the seat, including the disc hub. This provides sufficient uniform force
for a tight seal.
